- What is included in the franchise fee?
- The initial franchise fee grants the rights to the brand and system in your territory, plus initial training at our Tampa flagship and opening support. The exact fee and everything it covers are documented in Items 5 and 11 of our Franchise Disclosure Document.
- What royalties and ongoing fees will I pay?
- Ongoing royalties and any brand-fund contributions are disclosed in Item 6 of the FDD. We walk every candidate through the full fee structure during the FDD review — before any commitment.
- How big is a Southern Luv BBQ restaurant?
- The concept is built to operate in 600–1,000 sq ft. That compact, ventless footprint is the core of the model: less rent, simpler buildouts, and access to spaces traditional BBQ can't lease.
- Why does a ventless kitchen matter so much?
- No commercial exhaust hood means two things: construction stays simpler and cheaper, and entire categories of real estate open up — inline retail, food halls, airports, college campuses. It's the difference between hunting for a rare BBQ-ready building and choosing from a city's best retail spaces.
- What does training look like?
- You train inside our flagship restaurant in Tampa: the smoke program, the line, the service model, and the operating standards. Training continues through your opening, with the team beside you on day one.
- Do you help with site selection?
- Yes. We work with you to identify, evaluate, and approve the right space in your territory — and the ventless format gives you far more qualifying options than traditional BBQ.
- Can I keep my current job while opening a location?
- The model is designed for engaged owner-operators first, especially through opening. If you're planning a manager-run structure, bring it up on the intro call — we'll tell you honestly whether it fits.
